Oh, pretty layout! I was wondering if you'd tell me how you make the screencaps? I have an old Pinnacle capture card, but it doesn't work well any more, and I'm thinking of getting new software and capture device. What's the best way to capture HD?

I cap from shows I get off my dvr and convert to video on my computer.
I always found pinnacle to be hard to work with. I still have a movie box meant for transferring VHS to diogital, and I never did figure out how to use the damn thing.
I just use the firewire right into my video card now.
I use mostly GOM media player.
I have 2GB of RAM and a 3.4 dual core GHz processor.
I am not sure what is required to play HD files, however.
I do have a high end newer NVidia video card though.

-raises hand- I would love to be added. :) And just so I don't bug you somewhere else again tonight, in your icon tutorial you said something about going through the icons to see which ones would make good brushes...you don't happen to have a tutorial for brush making do you? If not, no big deal. I should really be working on my paper that is due tomorrow anyway. Or studying for my final on Monday, but I just don't want to. Heh. :)

no. Just look at the ones that look like they would make good brushes.
Techincally all 100x100 icons can be brushes, and the fit the icon perfectly.
